MY NEWS

29th June 2012.

I have applied for my first Football Coaching Job, It's only a couple of hours a week but it's a start and as the closing date for applications was yesterday I should hopefully hear soon. I really want to start Coaching now I have the Qualification and I really want to progress through the various courses and gain knowledge from others in the game to better myself as a coach and pass on the knowledge I have of the game I love. If you are a Football Coach then please feel free to contact me. In late 2010 I qualified as a Level 1 Football Coach and since then I have been looking for something that I could do to progress with the Coaching including looking for local coaching vacancies and things I could do to learn new drills and skills that would help me, I found a thing on the Somerset FA website about a session for Level 1 Coaches who are looking to progress with their coaching The free session is to give options about what to do next. Well after going to it I must recommend it to anyone who has done their Level 1 and want to progress or just know what is out there. It's a good social thing as you can swap Coaching ideas with the other coaches and we started off talking about what things we learnt on the Level 1 and what areas we would like to progress with. We then went outside for a coaching session with some of the things we learnt in Level 1 as well as some more developed drills which were good to do. It's free so is an ideal thing to do and counts towards three hours coaching.
